I have taken great pains to provide for the temple of the LORD a hundred thousand talents of gold, a million talents of silver, quantities of bronze and iron too great to be weighed, and wood and stone. And you may add to them

 

* Vocaburary(단어), idiom(숙어)

*take- (상태를)취하다, 가지다 / ex) he is take a shower., she is take a rest. 즉 어떠한 물건을 취하는 것이 아닌 상황을 취한다, 겪고있다란 표현을 쓸때 사용된다.

*talents- 달란트

*hundred thousand-10만 hundred(100) x thousand(1000) = 100000(10만)

*million= 100만

*quantities= 량

*great= 엄청난 ex) you are great boy- 너는 엄청난 소년이야!/ 즉 흔히 사용하는 엄청난이라는 표현도 있지만

(크기나 양이 보통이상으로)큰 이라는 표현도 있다.

 

I have taken great pains- have+ (p.p 과거분사형)-> 과거에서 부터 지금까지 (동사)해왔다.

too great to be weighed- too to 용법-> 너무 ~해서 ~ 할 수 없다.

나는 여호와의 성전을 제공하기 위해 큰 고통을 겪어왔다.

금 10만 달란트, 은 백만 달란트, 동과 철의 량은 너무 커서 무게를 잴 수 가없다. 그리고 나무와 돌도 있다.

내가 환난중에 여호와의 성전을 위하여 금 십만 달란트와 은 백만 달란트와 놋과 철을 그 무게를 달 수 없을 만큼 심히 많이 준비하였고 또 재목과 돌을 준비하였으나 너는 더할 것 이며.(역대상22:14)
